Topics of Interest:

The main focus of my research is on the division of labor and associated coordination issues in information systems (IS) development, deployment, maintenance, and operation. Beyond studying how to structure and manage the division of labor of organizations, I am also interested in how innovative information and communication technologies (ICT) may enable or improve interpersonal and interorganizational coordination. Special areas of interest are

• IS outsourcing
• IS offshoring
• ICT supported distributed work
• Knowledge management systems

Methods Used:

• Quantitative analysis (in particular, structural equation modeling techniques)
• Qualitative case studies
• Experiments in the realm of design research
